Pre-University Education, as its name indicates, has as its main objective to prepare the student for university entry, consolidate the development and comprehensive formation of the student's personality in its different facets, promoting a higher level of self-determination, attitudes and behaviors. civic organizations with an active and creative participation in the construction and defense of the Cuban socialist system, based on the conception of their life project, in accordance with their personal and social aspirations and interests.

Students who take this teaching will be educated so that they are able to:

Demonstrate a dialectical and scientific conception in the interpretation and valuation of facts, objects, processes and phenomena of nature, society and thought, through problem solving and the establishment of interdisciplinary links, creatively using study and research methods. and the new information and communication technologies.

Determine the future job profession, based on your life project and an appropriate choice, taking into account professional needs and interests, considering social and territorial priorities, as well as your academic, scientific, technical, physical and other potential. Correctly use the mother tongue with the creation of coherent oral or written texts using various norms, stylistically different in contexts of sociocultural interaction, through the use of different discursive strategies.

Communicate fluently in the English language, orally and in writing, and achieve comprehension, use and creation of texts of medium complexity, in accordance with the different school, community and mass media contexts.

Show a proactive attitude towards the care and conservation of the environment, starting from understanding the essential causes that affect it, as an indispensable condition for the maintenance, preservation and use of its resources, from the ecological, political-social, and economic dimensions of the environment. sustainable development, which guarantee the full enjoyment of current and future generations.

Demonstrate a healthy lifestyle with the incorporation of adequate eating habits, systematically practice sports and rejection of pre-university students4 tobacco use, alcohol and other addictions, as well as the prevention of accidents in the different contexts in which they interact.

Show respect and assertiveness in your interpersonal relationships, especially those of your partner, manifesting a sexual education with a gender focus and knowledge of your rights in this area.

Participate in recreational activities, show aesthetic taste in your personal attire, in school and daily activities, by appreciating the beauty of nature and in the different manifestations of the Cuban and universal artistic-literary culture with which you interact.

Show love for the country, its leaders, symbols and school; solidarity for humanity, anti-imperialist feelings expressed in attitudes and behaviors; as well as in the correct assessment of the superiority of the socialist system over the capitalist and the conviction of the defense of the country. Show adequate political, civic and labor education for the fulfillment of the legal commitments established in the Constitution and in the School Regulations, and self-regulated and self-critical behavior; fight against all kinds of discrimination, violence and corruption; argue personal decisions, exchange, contribute, accept criteria and collective decisions in the family, school and social context; the consolidation of their idiosyncrasy and active participation in the tasks of the Revolution.
