Characterization of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power
The municipality of Cárdenas has a territorial extension of 565 square kilometers, with a population, according to the 2012 census, of 142,369 inhabitants, being the municipality of the country with the highest population growth pattern with 1.36% annually and the population density of 251, 9Hab / Km2.
It has a total of 10 Popular Councils, of which 9 are urban and 1 rural. Circumscriptions in Popular Councils, 86, of which 58 are located in the municipal seat, 14 outside the Popular Council, 5 special construction and 1 military
It has 8 Deputies to the National Assembly and 16 Delegates to the Provincial Assembly.
In the period that we evaluated, we have carried out 9 partial election processes, for two fundamental causes: change of direction and personal problems
To date, we have held 14 ordinary and 6 extraordinary sessions with 91.2% attendance, the delegates' interventions represent 61.7% and the agreements to transform constitute 35.8% of the total.
An average of 3.1 topics have been presented by the commissions, which represents 50% of the total 6.1.
This Assembly has 5 Permanent Work Commissions, made up of 101 delegates, with an average of 20 members.
They comply with the work and planning system established with 90.1% attendance at their meetings.
