With the presence of the national president of the ACAA, Roberto Ripoll Díaz, and Olga González Fernández, official of the Central Committee of the Party, the provincial assembly of the Matanzas artisan artists was held, who ratified Antonio Pérez Marrero as their president for the next term of office.
The assembly, held in the José White concert hall, also elected the other six members of the board of directors, the three delegates who will represent them in the General Assembly and the pre-candidates to join the National Council of the artistic organization.
The audience enjoyed the audiovisual that summarizes the work carried out in the last nine years, pandemic in between, and tribute was paid to those missing for various reasons.
It was analyzed that more than 60 percent of the membership is elderly, and 8 percent are over eighty years old, and they also discussed job prospects for the next four years. They warned about the need, despite the difficulties facing the country, to once again dedicate space and time to the projects that are developed in the municipalities, including educational ones, to promote a taste for crafts.
The people of Matanzas were congratulated for the meritorious work they carry out from every point of view, which places them as very positive references in the country.
