The expressions of affection and gratitude together with many anecdotes told with sensitivity, qualified the day this Thursday at the Julio Aristegui Villamil de Cárdenas Territorial Teaching Hospital, during a fraternal meeting with friends of the “Puentes de Amor” project.
There was no lack of human feelings and solidarity, which touched the hearts of those present, when the leader of said project, Carlos Lazo, delivered a donation of medical supplies for the relief of hospitalized patients, especially in the pediatric area.
As part of the visit, different rooms were visited, such as those belonging to the pediatric service and the surgical area.
Professor Carlos Lazo's message was not long in coming when he expressed his opposition to the unjust blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States and his satisfaction in extending all kinds of aid to the Caribbean nation.
In addition, the opinion of William Rivero Perdomo, known as the Guajiro Citadino, was there as a member of Puentes de Amor.
Teresa Rubio, president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples in the province of Matanzas, as well as directors of the municipal Health Department and the hospital center, expressed their gratitude on behalf of the group and the community.
The Bridges of Love project is an initiative that brings together Cubans who fight with dignity and condemns the blockade imposed by the US government on Cuba, an initiative of Professor Carlos Lazo.
