Procedures carried out by the Marriage Palace

The marriage sections set up in the offices of the Wedding Palace, are governed by the provisions of LAW NO. 51 OF THE REGISTRY OF CIVIL STATUS. The purpose of this is to regulate the organization, powers and functions of the Registry of Civil Status in the Marriages section enabled in the offices of Marriage Palaces.
Issue certifications of Marriages, Divorces, Widowhood, Marital Status and Validity of Marriages, all based on the seats and documents in the offices of the Palace of Marriages and the denials that result from them. For these Procedures, a stamp of $ 5.00 is requested in addition to the date of the Marriage.
Correcting errors or material omissions in the registration of Marriages, will be made only to one of the parties, for this the user is asked for a stamp of $ 10.00 and the documents established as credit of the veracity of the errors according to law 249/2015
Authorize the formalization of the minor's marriage. The registrar will comply with the provisions of the presence of both parents of the minor, identity documentation of all parties and a stamp of $ 10.00
Deny the marriage formalization request when it does not meet the requirements established in the Law.
Direct, control and supervise the work of statistical information and others derived from the inscriptions or annotations made in the offices of the Palace of Marriages.
Direct, control and supervise the work of the office of the Marriage Palace and its auxiliary staff, as well as others established in Law 51 and its Regulations.
